The Seventeenth Session

The Council of Representatives held its seventeenth session of the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Mr. Adnan Faihan, First Deputy Speaker of the Council, today, Wednesday 9/9/2026, with (225) members present. The session included

- First reading of the draft First Amendment Law to the Notaries Public Law No. (33) of 1998, submitted by the Legal Affairs Committee.

- First reading of the draft Municipal Solid Waste Management Law, submitted by the Committees of Services and Reconstruction, Agriculture, Marshes and Environment, and Health and Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances.

- First reading of the draft Anti-Terrorism Law, submitted by the Security and Defense Committee and the Legal Affairs Committee.
