The Sixteenth Session

The Council of Representatives holds its sixteenth session of the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Mr. Haibat Al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Council, today, Monday 7/9/2026, with (226) members present. The session included

- First reading of the draft Law on Accession to the Statute of the Women Development Organization in the Member States of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- First reading of the draft First Amendment Law to the Law on the Trading of Agricultural Materials No. (46) of 2012, submitted by the Committee of Agriculture, Water Resources, Marshes and Environment and the Legal Affairs Committee.

-First reading of the draft Public-Private Partnership Law, submitted by the Committees of Economy, Industry and Trade, Investment and Development, Finance, and Legal Affairs.
