The Council of Representatives held its twentieth session of the first term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi, on Wednesday, 22/4/2026. The session included:
_ First reading of the proposed Ministry of Communications Law, submitted by the Transport, Communications and Governance Committee.
_ First reading of the proposed Municipal Solid Waste Management Law, submitted by the Agriculture, Water Resources, Marshlands and Environment Committee and the Services and Reconstruction Committee.
