The Council of Representatives held its eighteenth session of the first term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi, on Sunday, 20/4/2026, with (198) MPs in attendance. The session included:
_ First reading of the proposed Fifth Amendment Law to the Iraqi Cancer Board Law No. (63) of 1985, submitted by the Health and Combating Psychotropic Substances Committee.
_ First reading of the proposed Flag Service (Conscription) Law, submitted by the Security and Defense Committee.
