The Council of Representatives held its seventh session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi, on Monday, 9/2/2026, with (216) MPs in attendance. The session included:
_ The taking of the constitutional oath by Messrs. Hasanain Al-Khafaji, Jaafar Shuail Al-Zamili and Ali Anhair to assume membership of the Council of Representatives.
_ Voting on forming a temporary parliamentary committee chaired by the First Deputy Speaker to begin amending the bylaws concerning the permanent committees.
