The Council of Representatives held its third session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi, on Saturday, 10/1/2026, with (242) MPs in attendance. The session included:
_ The Council hosted the heads of the tax, customs and border crossings authorities to discuss the state of non-oil revenues.
_ Voting on a resolution recommending that the Ministry of Education reinstate the grade-improvement system for the 2024 academic year, adopt the multiple-attempts system, and allow sixth-preparatory students of all branches to attend schools and sit for exams.
