Session Report
The Council of Representatives held on (11/2/2026) its eighth session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi. The session included:
_ The taking of the constitutional oath by Mr. Badr Al-Fahl to assume membership of the Council of Representatives after voting to add the item to the agenda.
_ Voting on rejecting the appeals submitted regarding the validity of the membership of MPs Siham Abdulmunim, Zainab Ismail, Imad Yokhana and Haider Ali Mohammed.
_ The Speaker welcomed the attendance of the Minister of Justice Khalid Shwani, National Security Advisor Qasim Al-Araji, the Interior Ministry Undersecretary for Intelligence Affairs and the Deputy Commander of Joint Operations to discuss the issue of prisoners transferred to Iraq.
The session was then adjourned until next Sunday.
