The Council of Representatives held on 10/1/2013 the fifth session of the second legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the Speaker of Council of Representatives. The session included the following:

 

- Presence 180 members.

- Mr. Al-Nujaifi decided to determine the next Monday as a final date to question the Minister of Youth and Sport, in case of his absence the Council will vote to dismiss him.

- The Presidency decided to postpone voting on the proposed law of general amnesty submitted by the committees of legal and human rights to next Monday.

- The first reading of the draft law to amend the law of social care No.(126) of 1980, submitted by the committee of labor and social affairs.

- The Council voted in principle to continue the first reading of draft law of first amendment for the order of CPA No.(87) of 2004, submitted by the committees of legal, economy and investment, and services and construction.

- The first reading of the draft law of the second amendment for the law of return of politicians dismissed No.(24) of 2005 as amended, submitted by the committees of martyrs, victims and political prisoners, and legal.

- The first reading of the proposed law of National Fund for supporting NGOs in development projects submitted by the committee of civil society organizations.

- The Presidency of the Council decided to prevent MP Hanan Al-Fatlawi from participating in the activities of the Council until providing an official apology to the Speaker of the Council, due to lack of commitment to the Rules of Procedure.

 

 

The session was adjourned until Saturday 12/1/2013.
