On (16/8/2023), the House of Representatives held its eleventh session of the second legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (171) representatives, and the session included:

- Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage of 1992 submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- Second reading of the draft law on the ratification of the agreement on mutual exemption from entry visas for holders of diplomatic, special, service and public affairs passports between Iraq and the Government of China, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- The interventions of the ladies and gentlemen of Representatives focused on demanding to know the reason for the low status of the Iraqi passport according to international classifications and demanding an increase in the length of stay specified in the agreement, similar to other agreements, in addition to a wider inclusion of societal groups to benefit from the agreement

- Second reading of the draft law on the ratification of the agreement on the exemption of holders of diplomatic and service passports from entry visas between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Armenia, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

-First reading of the draft law amending the Narcotics Law No. (50) of 2017, submitted by the Health, Environment, Security, Defense and Legal Committees and the Interim Committee for Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances
