On (7/8/2024), the House of Representatives held its seventh session of the second legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (172) Representatives, and the session included:

- Voting on the draft law on private public university higher education submitted by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee.

-The second reading of the draft law amending the first law of the Martyrs Foundation Law No. (2) of 2016 submitted by the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners.
- First reading of the draft law amending the first industrial cities law No. (2) of 2019 submitted by the Economy, Industry and Trade Committee.
 - First reading of the draft law amending the first law of the notaries public Law No. (33) of 1998, submitted by the Legal Committee.

-Postponing the first reading of the proposed law amending the first law of the Iraq Pharmacists Syndicate Law No. 112 of 1966, submitted by the Health and Environment Committees, Labour and Civil Society Organizations.
- First reading of the proposed law on the first amendment to the House of Representatives Law and its formations No. (13) of 2018, submitted by the Legal Committee

It was then decided to adjourn the session.
