 On (6/8/2024), the House of Representatives held its sixth session of the second legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (194) Representatives, and the session included:

 

- Dr. Shakhwan Abdel Allah, Vice-Speaker of the House, chaired part of the session 

-Voting on the draft law on the registration of births and deaths submitted by the Health and Environment Committee.

-Postponing the vote on the proposed law on the first amendment to the Law on the Foundations of Equivalence of Arabic and Foreign Certificates and Degrees No. (20) of 2020, submitted by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Committee.

-Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Agreement on Olive Oil and Table Olives of 2015, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

-The second reading of the proposed law on the Iraqi Programmers Syndicate submitted by the Labour Committees and civil society organizations, and the legal ones.

-A number of the demands of the ladies and gentlemen of the Representatives focused on the inclusion of the segment of programmers in the Kurdistan region in the law of the Association, in addition to the demand to include graduates of diplomas and higher diplomas in the membership of the Association

It was then decided to adjourn the session
