Session Details

 On (22/5/2024), the House of Representatives held its twenty-sixth session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, in the presence of (167) Representatives, and the session included:

 

-Voting on the proposed law on the second amendment to the Independent High Electoral Commission Law No. (31) of 2019 submitted by the Legal Committee to maintain the continuation of the work of the High Electoral Commission until the elections of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq are held.

-Postponing the vote on the draft law on the restitution of real estate covered by some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council, submitted by the Legal Committee.

-Directing Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi to form a parliamentary committee to consider the observations of the ladies and gentlemen of the Representatives and reach a final formulation to vote on the draft law on the return of real estate to its owners covered by some decisions of the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council.

-Voting on the draft law on official holidays submitted by the committees of endowments, clans, legal, culture, tourism, antiquities and media.

After that, it was decided to adjourn the session
