On (28/4/2024), the House of Representatives held its twenty-first session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, in the presence of (172) representatives, and the session included:

-Voting on the draft law on the first amendment to the law regulating the lease of agricultural land and the ownership of the right to dispose of it for agricultural and veterinary graduates No. (24) of 2013 submitted by the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshes.

-Voting on the draft law ratifying the Agreement on Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic Passports between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Korea, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

-Voting on the draft law on the ratification by the Republic of Iraq of the two protocols amending articles (50/A) and (56) of the Convention on International Civil Aviation (Chicago Convention) of 1944, signed in Montreal (2016) submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

Part of the session was chaired by Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, Vice-Speaker

- The first reading of the draft law on the protection of intellectual property submitted by the committees, legal, strategic planning, culture, tourism and antiquities, higher education and scientific research.

After that, it was decided to adjourn the session
