On (14/2/2024), the House of Representatives held its eighth session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Mr. Shakhwan Abdullah, First vice Speaker of the House, and the session included:

- First reading of the draft law on access to information, submitted by the Committee on Culture, Tourism and Antiquities.

- First reading of the draft law repealing Revolutionary Command Council resolutions No. 1018 of 1982 and 554 of 1983, submitted by the Legal Committee;

- Second reading of the draft law on the registration of births and deaths submitted by the Health and Environment Committee.

- Second reading of the draft law on the ratification by the Republic of Iraq of the Protocol amending Articles 50 and 56 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation of 1944, signed in Montreal in 2016, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- Second reading of the draft law amending the first law of the Property Claims Authority Law No. 13 of 2010, submitted by the Legal Committee

It was then decided to adjourn the session
