On (17/10/2023), the House of Representatives held its twenty-fourth session of the second legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of (178) representatives, and the session included:

- Postponing the vote on the draft law ratifying the basic cooperation agreement between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the statute of the International Council of Dates submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- Voting on the return of a draft law on accession to the statute of the Organization for the Development of Women in the OIC Member States to the government at the request of the Foreign Relations Committee.

- Starting voting on the draft law on the first amendment to the law regulating the lease of agricultural land and the ownership of the right to dispose of it for agricultural and veterinary graduates No. (24) of 2013 submitted by the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshes
