On (9/6/2023), the House of Representatives held its twenty-ninth session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of (180) representatives, and the session included:

- The first reading of the proposed law on the second amendment to the Law on the Replacement of Members of the House of Representatives No. (6) of 2006 submitted by the Legal Committee, which came in application of the provisions of Article 49/IV of the Constitution and in unification of the provisions of the electoral legal system in coordination with the provisions of Article (14/III) of the amended Elections Law of the House of Representatives, Provincial Councils and Districts No. 12 of 2018, and in order to ensure that the electoral districts are not devoid of sufficient female representation

- Voting on a number of articles of the Federal Budget Law, up to Article 25, while postponing the vote on four articles of the draft law

After that, the Speaker of the House decided to adjourn the session to 5 pm on Saturday
