On (5/4/2023), the House of Representatives held its eighteenth session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (235) and the session included:
- Mr. Youssef Al-Kalabi was sworn in as a substitute for representative Saadia Abdullah Aufi after the Federal Court ruled her membership invalid.
- First reading of the draft federal budget law of the Republic of Iraq for the fiscal years (2025, 2024, 2023) submitted by the Finance and Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committees
- At the end of the session Mr. Al-Mandalawi called to expedite the preparation of a report for the draft budget law and its second reading, as it affects the needs of citizens and for the implementation of service and investment projects.
