The House of Representatives held on (6/11/2022) its eighth session of the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Mohammed Al-Halbousi which included:

-Mr. Halbousi read out three apologies’ requests by three substitutes from the Sadrist bloc for taking the oath of office.

- Ladies and gentlemen Suad Abdul- Hussein Al-Maliki, Sahira Abdullah Al-Jubouri, Talib Abdul Karim Al-Maamari, Heba Zarzis Abdul Ahad Al-Qass, Ali Saadoun Ghulam, Jawad Kazum Mutlak and Karim Aliwi take the oath of the office, and others apologize, to fill the membership of the House of Representatives instead of the representatives who have held ministerial positions.

 
-Representative Atwan al-Atwani read a statement remembering the representative Mahmoud Shaker al-Salami, who passed away a few days ago in the House of Representatives, condolences to the family of the deceased and his colleagues on his passing, and prayed for him with mercy, forgiveness, patience and solace to his relatives.

- The House recite Surah Al-Fatiha on the spirit of the late representative Mahmoud Al-Salami.

-First reading of the draft Federal Civil Service Law submitted by the Finance and Legal Committee.

Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, First Vice-President of the House chairing a part of the session.

-Postponement of the first reading of the draft law of military service submitted by the Security and Defense Committee to the next session to study it and mature the draft accurately.

- First reading of the draft law on child protection submitted by the Women, Family, Childhood, Legal, endowment, Tribes, Labor and Civil Society Committees.

-Ladies and gentlemen of Representatives demanded to discuss and find appropriate solutions to handle the scarcity of water and drought in the country by hosting the Minister of Water Resources, demanding  to hand over the dues of the province of Babylon from the Petro-dollar allocations, and providing the House of Representatives with the decisions issued by the House of Ministers and demanding the cessation of the encroachment on the ownership of the land on which the Baghdad Model College High School is built in the Adhamiya area, proceed the implementation of the development of the northern entrance to Baghdad project and moving towards activating the funds allocated for the maintenance of roads and bridges, and calling for the launch of the agricultural plan and providing farmers with the fertilizers.

Then it was decided to adjourn the session until next Tuesday
