 The House of Representatives (10/10/2022) held its 4th meeting on the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the fifth election under the chairmanship of Mohsen Al-Andlawi in attendance (199) and included:



- First reading of the draft Law of the Ministry of Electricity Law No. 53 of 2017, submitted by the Committee on Electricity and Energy.

- First reading of the draft law of the First Amendment to the law of martyr’s foundation No. 2 of 2016, submitted by the Committee of Martyrs and Victims.

- First reading of the draft law of the Third Amendment law to the Private and combined Industrial Investment Law No. 20 of 1998, submitted by the Commissions of Investment, Development, Economics, Industry and Trade.

 - First reading of the draft Law on the First Amendment to the law of the people of special needs No. 38 of 2013, submitted by the Women, Family, Childhood, Legal and Labor Committees, civil society organizations, martyrs and victims

- First reading of the draft law of the Public-Private Partnership law submitted by the Economy, Industry, Trade and Finance Committees.

- The House, at the request of 65 representatives, postponed the first reading of the draft law of the First Amendment law of the Iraqi National Oil Company law, submitted by the Oil and Energy Commission.

- Asks the representatives to host the Ministers of Water and Foreign Affairs to find their stand on the problem of the reduction of water levels in the Tigris river and its repercussions on the needs of the country and citizens in general as well as the demand for clarification by the Government of the water scarcity in Iraq and the degradation of the agricultural sector, the need to follow the measures of the Ministry of Finance in implementing the provisions of the Law on Food Security, and to consider to those who their contracts been terminated from the popular force, and to demand a limit of new abuses on the territories in the provinces, and demand the authorities concerned to speed up the printing Educational curricula with the start of the new school year, calling for the formation of a joint commission of the Health and Integrity Committees to follow up the complaint against the Inspectorate of the Ministry of Health concerning the owners of the pharmacies.

 - Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi to host the ministers of agriculture and water resources in the House of Representatives to discuss the issues raised by the members of the House.

 - Mr. Al-Mandalawi noted to submit a request for a venue of 170 representatives for the election of the President of the Republic on Wednesday, noting that the chairmanship of the House will discuss the request and decide on it.
