Session Details
The House of Representatives held on (30/3/2022) its sixth session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Muhammad al-Halbousi. The session included
- Mr. Muhammad Al-Halbousi announced that the legal quorum was not achieved to elect the President of the Republic.
- Voting on amending a number of articles of rules of procedure related to the representatives’ committees’ tasks, including designation change of the committee’s rapporteur to a second representative for the chairperson.
- Voting on 11 members of the Legal Committee, while opening the way to complete the total number of the Committee.
- Voting on a number of members of the external and financial relations committees.
- The Speaker of the House called on the heads of the representatives’ blocs to submit the names of their members to complete the formation of the committees, assuring the commitment of the chairmanship of the House to adopt the principle of professionalism, efficiency and competence as a basis for distributing the ladies and gentlemen representatives to the committees.
