On (1/10/2024), the House of Representatives held its thirteenth session of the second legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (170) Representatives, and the session included:
-Postponement of the vote on the draft law on the ratification of the Air Transport Services Agreement between the Government of Iraq and the Government of the Russian Federation, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
-The Parliamentary Transport and Communications Committee demanded the suspension of the contractual procedures for the mobile phone registration system project concluded by the Media and Communications Commission through the head of its executive body with a British consulting company that is unknown sobriety and similar works and has a branch in Jordan, in order to see the merits of the contract with it and to avoid a danger to the lives of Iraqi citizens, and because the Media and Communications Commission is linked to the House of Representatives in accordance with the decision of the Federal Supreme Court.
-Representative Haider Al-Salami read a speech on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the start of the October Revolution demonstrations in 2019 in protest against the spread of corruption, lack of services and the absence of social justice.
