On (25/2/2024), the House of Representatives held its tenth session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First vice Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (196) Representatives , and the session included:
-First reading of the draft law of the Centre for Banking Studies, submitted by the Finance Committee.
-During the session, Representative Faleh al-Khazali read a statement in which he recalled the birth of Imam Mahdi and blessed the Iraqi people for the historic fatwa of sufficient jihad by His Eminence Sayyid Ali al-Sistani, which preserved the sovereignty and security of Iraq from the control of takfiri terrorist gangs and defended the interests of Iraq and its people, calling for mercy for the martyrs of Iraq.
-Postponing the first reading of the proposed law on the organization of trade unions for workers and craftsmen in Iraq, submitted by the Labour Committee and civil society organizations.
-Postponing the second reading of the draft law repealing the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Decree No. 52 of 2003 submitted by the Legal Committee.
-Mr. Mohsen al-Mandalawi requested representatives of the Government and the Presidency of the Republic to provide a detailed explanation of the reasons for the draft law repealing the dissolved Revolutionary Command Council Decree No. 52 of 2003.
-The second reading of the draft law amending the second law of the Iraqi Media Network Law No. (26) of 2015 submitted by the Committee on Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Media.
